Words this atlas uses

An export is also a backup: it is the same JSON that lives in your D1 database, so it can be committed to git or dropped into a vault.

A phone-contact .vcf, LinkedIn Connections.csv, Instagram followers_1.json, an exported WhatsApp .txt, or any list. Several at once is fine — you can also just drop them anywhere on the page.

Where to get each export
  • Phone / iCloud / Google contacts — icloud.com → Contacts → select all → Export vCard, or contacts.google.com → Export → vCard. This is also what WhatsApp uses as its address book.
  • LinkedIn — Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Get a copy of your data → Connections → Connections.csv.
  • Instagram — Accounts Centre → Your information and permissions → Download your information → JSON → followers_1.json / following.json.
  • WhatsApp chats — open the chat → ⋮ → More → Export chat → without media → .txt. Contacts themselves come from the address book above.
